Mr. Gooroodeo Sookun FCCA MBA, also known as Mahen, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, U.K. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Leicester,U.K.
He has founded SB Proconsult, an accounting and business consulting firm, after a long and successful career as Chief Financial officer and Corporate Finance Executive for more than 25 years.Mr Sookun has served in private and public companies during the last Thirty years as Corporate Finance Executive in Mauritius and Africa in diverse sectors such public utilities, agriculture and textiles, hospitality & real estates development and mining. Mahen was the Group Finance and Administrative Manager of Titanium Resources Limited, a company involved in Mineral Resources and Mining and listed on the AIM market of theLondon Stock Exchange. He was also the Director, CFO and Secretary of Diamond Fields International, a public company listed in Toronto and has also served as Independent Director for Australian (ASX) listed company having investments in Africa. In Mauritius, Mr Sookun has served as Head of Finance of the largest Real Estate Development Company, Anahita. Currently Mr Sookun is a Finance consultant providing accounting and tax services to a range of local and international clients. He also sits as non executive director in a number of Boards in offshore companies. He is also involved in Set up and Structuring of Investments from Europe/Australia/ Asia via Mauritius in African jurisdictions.
